Running on time...

Well, who would have thought that I would actually complete the CR84FN challenge before it closed?...not me...lol. I thought I was destined to just play along in the background...even though that was fun too. But this week I am actually running on time.

It would have been sooooo easy to create a Christmas card with this challenge but I really wanted to challenge myself and so I steered clear!!!

Happy Tuesdays...

I know, it is still Monday....but tomorrow means I am going to be a very happy girl. I am off to see my dearest friend after she has spent over a month in hospital. I won't go into details but oh how I have missed her. We talk every week on the phone and catch up in person at least every second week. Our boys go to school together and it just eats away at me when I am helpless to be able to do anything for her.

To see her this afternoon waiting to pick up her son from school was just wonderful. Her mum told me that morning that there was a slight chance that she would be heading home but I got the shock of my life to see her standing there in the afternoon. Can you tell I am just giddy with happiness?

So tomorrow I am heading over with some choccies, a big bunch of flowers and enough girly talk to fill a couple of days...lol.

I will also be taking this to her. I was thinking of her while i made it for the Lollipop Ladies challenge yesterday.

We needed to use this image as inspiration...yummo. I love these things...hehehe.

Quiet Mondays...

No one home today but me....and I am LOVING it...lol.

We had another rainy weekend and while I love them, my kids are not the biggest fans for being stuck inside. That means a whole lot of whinging and whining about how bored they are...etc. The sun finally popped out yesterday afternoon and we were able to get out to ride bikes, scooters and have Daddy show us his skateboarding skills...it was too funny. Lets just say he isn't a teenager anymore and in the 15 years that I have know him I have never seen him on one. I don't think Noah's skateboard or his ego will ever be the same again!!!

Some of you are probably sick and tired of seeing cards but I have more to share today. I haven't scrapped a page since early March and my mojo is very card focused atm.

This weeks challenge at The Studio is to make a card using a photograph. Go and check out the other DT girls cards...some great ideas.

I used this as an excuse to print out one of the many vintage photographs I have collected. Put it with some of my new paper crush...MME Stella and Rose...and I came up with this.



This card was made for the CR84FN colour challenge...but I never got it photographed in time.
I loved these colours together!!! The blue frame is from The Graphics Fairy...I just changed the colour to fit in with the required colours.

And lastly it was my last blog post over at SWV the other week. I have stepped down from my position over there...I had fun but life was catching up with me and it was becoming more of a chore than fun.

I used the scraps from my last kit to create a set of cards. The kit can be found here and here is my LO that I made using it.

Rainy Sundays...

are bliss. Especially when we all get to stay indoors and just chill together!!! We are ignoring the household jobs that need doing and enjoying a relaxing day. Lemon friands are baking, the kids and daddy are playing lego and I have just quickly popped in to share a few cards.

Our current challenge is to use your favourite song as inspiration.

A few weeks ago, Hubby and I watched the movie Easy A and ever since the Natasha Bedingfield song "Pocket full of sunshine" is on constant replay in my head...lol. It is starting to drive me nuts :).

So here is my card using this song as inspiration...

The denim pocket is from a pair of Miss A's jeans from when she was about one...perfect size :).

So here is the sketch... and the twist is Spring (but i am so ready for winter...lol)oh boy, did I struggle with this one. I love it but I realised that circles and myself are just not friends.

So I was only semi happy with this...
