Down in the Studio...

...well, kind of...lol. I am in the office/study/computer room/scrap room/any other names the kids come up with for it room...lol.

I have this weeks card from The Studio to share with you today.

This weeks challenge is to use this sketch to create your card.

Here is my take on it.

And I just couldn't stop at one!! I loved this sketch...so easy to interrupt in so many ways. I used to to participate in this weeks challenge at the Embellish Magazine blog.

I made that little canvas flower myself...if you are interested in the pattern just holler!!!

Now I better run along. Hubby is working from home today and I should be cleaning up the desk in the office/study/computer room/scrap room/any other names the kids come up with for it room while he is at the gym. I better get a move on as all the scraps from these two cards and a few LO's are spread from one end to the other.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend.

Lets twist...

Another hot one today and we have not long got home from a morning at the beach. Noah joined Nippers this year and he is LOVING it!!!

So today is team A's day over at Twisted Sketches.

Here is this weeks sketchThe twist this week is distress.

And here is my take on it.

I used ink and an edge distressor to distress all edges and I even used ink to distress the ribbon. I make those little flowers and the leaves are a digi stamp from Meljens.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek. I am off to tidy up my desk and I might even stop procrastinating about the ironing and just do it...lol. AC is on so I might get it done while the house is cool. Notice I keep saying 'might'...hehehe.

Hope you are all well...

Housework awaits...

A bomb has gone off in my house and I need to clean!!!

But I thought I would quickly pop in and share a little project...

This is for the current sketch at Scrap with V....you can see it here.

Miss A on the night she turned 3. I went out and bought a cupcake for each of us to have after dinner and she choose the chocolate one. Her brother performed the most amazing tantrum over this and refused to have any of the other offerings. So Dam and I told him to go without and the next thing Abi hands over her chocolate cupcake for him to have and chooses another...I just love her big heart. She would do absolutely anything for her big brother!!!

I also have my LO's from my Feb. kit at Scrap with V. All kits can be found here.

Some old photos of my little girl. I was going through my photo files back in January and printed out a whole pile of photos that I really wanted to scrap. Love that toothy grin and the serious look she always used to do.

And don't forget...
Hope to see you there!

Anyhoo, the housecleaning is still waiting.

Hope you are all well and looking foward to the weekend.

A pack of cards...

I can finally share a little secret I have been keeping for a while...

I was asked by the wonderful Anam Stubbington to be a part of thisSketches4Cards is the Card version of the popular Sketches2Scrapbook App and here is my card that is part of this application.

I don't own an iphone...lol...but I was on a bit of high about this project.

Yesterday was also my first day over at The Studio. The card challenge is to use 13 things on your card. I went with 13 images and used a Meljen's digi image. This image is a freebie and can be found here.

And lastly is my last card from Twisted sketches...sorry running a bit behind atm...lol.

The twist for this card was two...I went with two little cupcakes.

...and I think that brings me up to date!!!

Hope you are all well and enjoyed a lovely weekend.

Emerging from the fog...

It may seem like a rather dramatic title but that is how I feel atm. No one told me that when your first child starts school you can be in a daze for up to two weeks!!! I have never felt so lost. And actually being a teacher does not help ONE. LITTLE. BIT!!! The shoe is on the other foot and it was a little uncomfortable...hehehe. I am a bit on obsessive side when it comes to organisation and routine. Apart from bringing home a new baby girl 3 years ago, our routine has been the same for the last 5 years and now I am trying to squeeze everything into the hours between 8:30am and 2:30pm.

I used to clean on a Monday, grocery shop on a Tuesday, complete lazy day at home on a Wednesday, swimming lessons and lots of running around on a Thursday and music and catching up with friends (not every week) on a Friday. That routine is GONE...and I am struggling to find a new one. Abi and I are having fun and doing lots of girly things together but most days I am getting nothing done!!! Washing can still be sitting in the machine until late afternoon. Throw in the biggest heat wave we have ever had and I just threw my hands up in defeat last week.

This week I have made a much better start at our new 'life'...lol. My hubby isn't looking at me like I am going to flip out at any moment and the kids seem much less stressed!!! Noah is LOVING school...he has made some gorgeous little friends and he adores his teacher. He is NOT a fan of homework...lol.

I have a few projects to share with you...nothing new as Mr Mojo also disappeared during the last week but he is on his way home, I think ;).

These two LO's were from palette #43 at The Colour Room...ummm, hello, GREY and YELLOW...how could I not play!!!

And I even used the palette to make my little girls birthday card. That new baby girl that I mentioned above turned 3 on Tuesday....oh 'sigh'...where does the time go.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you are all well.
