Another month...

over! It is said by everyone but seriously where has this year gone?

I remember as a kid a year seemed to go on forever...why can't it be the same when you are an adult :).
We are now heading into our birthday season...more than half our family members and friends celebrate their birthday in the next 4 months. By the end of the week both my sister and BIL will be a year older :)...and then my nieces and nephews all start celebrating...birthday parties everywhere!!!

Just a quick share tonight...our little hairdresser.

I love having my hair brushed so I am more than a willing costumer but whenever it is Daddy's turn the screams and yells that come from the lounge room are too funny. She isn't exactly gentle....

Well, the kids are in bed and Dam is currently sitting in Brisbane airport waiting for a flight home so I am going to scrap...YAY.

Thanks for stopping by.

Getting a bit...

2 Crafty :). I have churned out 4 LO's this weekend and haven't sat down at my desk for more than hour all weekend. How then did I complete 4 LO's? I put my female multi-tasking to good use...printed out a number of photos, lined up cardstock along my desk and popped in whenever there were a couple of minutes to spare. I think I have found a new way of scrapping for me...lol. Each time I left to do other jobs around the house, I would have ideas for each LO and as the day drew to an end each LO was complete. I am such a happy camper about this!!
But I can probably guarantee you that next time I try it....it won't work...lol.

This page was from last week...I used the sketch on the 2 Crafty blog.

I love finding Dam's self portraits...hehehe. Whenever he has been taking photos you can bet your bottom dollar that there will be one of these at the end. This is one of my faves. Dam took that photo on Mother's Day 09.

I stumbled across that photo when I decided to finally scrap about my first handmade Mother's Day gift that Noah made last year. It was a handmade eye mask, a teabag and a little chocolate bar...it was just too cute.

Well, the neighbours are coming for dinner tonight and Lemon Meringue pie is on the menu of dessert so I better get cracking...today is just flying and I have got very little done.

Hugs to you all and have a great week.

Snuggly Bunny...

My baby girl loves nothing more than snuggles....well maybe her clothes but that is a whole other post :). These photos were from last year but she hasn't changed...when she cuddles she puts her whole heart into it...I love it and so does her Daddy!!!

This photo was taken the day I got back from the 3AS retreat last June. My first time away from her since she was born and I am not sure who missed who the most :).

And here she is with her Daddy. Dam works from home every Thursday and even though he is usually insanely busy he always has time for snuggles. Once she woke up from her nap this is where she would go...too cute.

These were both made using the August Studio Calico kit. There are still some available and if you are still on the fence about ordering then I highly recommend it. Even with postage I am still saving with the amount of goodies that come in the kits.

Well, it is Friday night and I am half way though my first LO...hopefully will churn out two tonight!!

Have a good weekend and thanks for stopping by.

The pages...

are for the kids but the creative process is for me...and my sanity :).

I have always done something crafty. Before and during my pregnancy with Noah I was majorly into jewelery making...still have a cupboard filled with beads. I used to spend my spare time as a kid doing something creative. I remember getting sent to my room once and while I should have been working on a sweet apology I pulled out some paints and sat on the floor and made butterfly after butterfly...remember how you would fill the centre of a piece of paper with different coloured paints, fold in half and then open to discover a new and wonderful surprise with each piece of paper? Mum wasn't at all pleased when she walked in...hehehe. Anyhoo, I digress...:)

The creative process is for me and I have no dramas putting flowers on Noah's pages or making them slightly girly. Before I had Abi I needed to do it for me or otherwise I would have quickly lost interest in the craft.

So this months Scrap the Boys challenge was no real challenge for me...use flowers.

These photos are from last year...he loves craft just as much as I do. He made this crown all on his own...cutting here, gluing there and he was so proud to wear it around!

Speaking of getting crafty we are just about to dive into another crown making exercise. Noah loves the show Mister Maker on ABCkids and when this was made the other morning he begged to make one. The shape is cut out and we are just about ready to cover it in foil...we took a slight break for lunch and it seems I have gotten distracted...lol.

Hope you are all having a good week. I can almost smell Spring in the air....YAY!!!

Hugs xx

Continental Wrap up...

I loved this kit and mainly because it contained this piece of paper...

'sigh'...yummo!!! I could probably manage another couple of LO's out of this gorgeous bundle of goodness but I think it is time to wrap it up and move on.

Here are the last two pages i created using this kit.

and check out my baby boy with his best friend Jess. When they are playing at our house Jess is usually quick to complain that we don't have many girl dress up clothes...looks like she got back at Noah by making him wear hers...lol. When her mum gave me this photo I couldn't stop laughing and no doubt it will get pulled out for the 18th and 21st birthdays...hehehe.

I am finding that I am pretty behind in my scrapping and I like the fact that I am usually up to date. But with weeks of sickness...I was down again last week with some weird stomach flu...scrapping has been the furthest thing from my mind. Dear Hubby is a bit perplexed by the person who has been sitting on the lounge with him lately instead of retreating to her scrap room...lol.

So to get back into the swing of things I am joining a bootcamp....Blue Bazaars Bootcamp that is.
Thrifty 50 - 50 photos, 50 sheets of patterned paper, 50 pagemaps!!! My first lot of sketches has arrived and the inspiration is already flowing!!! I even scrapped in front of the TV last night...what the? More strange looks from the hubby.

Well, I am off to bed. Thank goodness for spell check because I can barely keep my eyes open to type this :).

Hope you are all well. Hugs.

A soy latte...

to settle my nerves :).

Thank you Mel and Kim for letting me know. I went to check my email and the list and I am very excited. What I am talking about?

Well, last night after procrastinating about it since the call was announced I sent in my application for the Scrapbook Nook DT Call. Due to my Tuesday mornings being crazy and truly not expecting to see my name on the list it was far from my mind. But there it is...alongside some amazing talent!!!

So fingers crossed :).

A few things to share today...

and a card. I got the inspiration for this the night before the birthday party it was made for. It was on two peas but I didn't save any details. The combination of a pinwheel and banner caught my attention and I lifted it for this card.

and this one is in this months Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft Magazine.

Well, I am off to enjoy the rest of my coffee and play dolls with Abi...she is such a little Mummy.

Hugs.

Seriously...

these two crack me up!!

The other week I let Noah and Abi play with my old camera and Daddy helped them load the photos they took onto the computer. I hadn't even seen what they had taken and as I was scrolling through the folders the other day I found these ones....I couldn't stop laughing and printed them out straight away.

I have a new love. These little delights came with the Studio Calico July kit....can you say 'YUM'. I want them in every colour....love, I tell ya!!!I used them on this layout for my banner so now my banner fever has reached a whole new level...hehehe.

This kit has been perfect for me to finish the pages from our short little break in March. Noah had a blast at Lake Cathie and can't wait to go back next year!!

Got another one sitting on my desk...hoping for a little time this afternoon when the kids go for a drive with Daddy...and so many more ideas churning in my head. Looking forward to the August kit arriving....it looks gorgeous!!

Well, I am off to sort and fold my washing and no doubt procrastinate about the next stage....IRONING...yuck!!

Thanks for stopping by...will try to catch up with your blogs this week. Having tonsillitis and a house full of sickies put a little bit of surfing on the back burner.

Hugs.

What I would do...

for a little bit of sunshine and warm weather!! This wet cold miserable winter has done me in....I have had enough!!!....N.E.E.D. S.U.N.S.H.I.N.E!!!
Anyone else feeling that way?
But there is one way to fill in a few hours on a miserable weekend....

I haven't scrapped in over a fortnight due to sick kiddies, sick husband and I topped off last week with a lovely dose of tonsillitis for myself...:(. Hence the whole being over Winter...lol.
So here are a few for a couple of weeks ago.

First up...for my nephews album...the G. Family.

My little Buzz Lightyear....all ready for a fancy dress party.

And finally...trying to get a family photo is like herding cats...is it not? One child sulking, another being silly and one about to throw an amazing tantrum...hehehe.

Thanks for stopping by...will hopefully be back at the end of the week with a few new ones to share...fingers crossed.

Hugs.
