brrrrrr...

I am sure you will all agree with me...it is freezing!!! We have new neighbours and they asked me today if this is normal for winter around here. They only moved an 80km north...lol. Nope it seems that most of the country is enjoying ;) this extremely chilly weather. Pretty sure it hit 0 degrees last night and even sitting out in the sun this afternoon while Noah rode his bike around did nothing to warm me up.

I am quickly popping in to share a few projects from the May SC kit...Granny's Cupboard. The June kit has arrived but I can't stop playing with this one. Love all the OA goodness it contains. I have four to share and two more on my desk that are near completion.




a bit of an explanation of the last one...if you hear a child scream at the top of her lungs 'WOW, dat BUM!!'...she isn't checking out your cute tushie. She means 'WOW, that's fun!' Cracks me up every time I hear her say it.

I am now off to tidy the kitchen and then head out into the freezing cold night. Might need a snow suit at this rate...lol.

Here is my take on it...


I love our family movie nights. We get in our pj's, pop some popcorn, throw all the lounge cushions on the floor and settle in for an adventure. I think on the night I took this we were watching Peter Pan. Noah has never laughed so hard and Abi has never eaten so fast. I blinked and the bowl was empty and her hands and mouth were full...lol. Now she keeps asking for 'POP porn'.

In other news, Noah and I have just finished making this rocket. He has decorated it with glitter glues and he is jumping around waiting for it to dry so he can go to Outer Space :). A quick and easy craft on a cold and rainy day.

Well, I am off to fold washing and think about something for dinner. I think it will be easy night here tonight...don't feel much like cooking. Bad mummy...lol. Toast anyone ;).

Hot Chocolate...

on a cold winters night...does it get any better? :)

Noah has been asking for hot chocolate since the cold weather hit...even though he had never had one before...and one night when we were all in out jammies and watching a movie together I thought I would surprise the kids with their first hot chocolate.


While I love all the Christmas papers that come out each year I don't tend to use the snowflake covered papers at the time. We are usually roasting in 40 degree heat at Christmas and the theme just doesn't fit. Even my cards for family and friends at Christmas lack the 'white Christmas' feel. So I save them up and pull them out in June and July when we are snuggled up in Australia!!!

A year ago today...

we lost you and our world is just not the same.

My heart continues to break for the grandkids who adored you and called you Ga-Ga and for Mum's loneliness that is constant no matter how fun filled we make her days.

We miss you so much, Dad.

Getting crafty...

Like I said last post my mojo is pumping and this weekend I was able to squeeze a little extra crafty time in due to it being a long weekend and bribery!!! Hubby invited his parents down for lunch yesterday and I thought it only fair that I get compensated with a little time with my paper and glue...hehehe.

I am very much in a card making mood lately and have finally dove into a few of the challenge blogs that I have had in my faves list for sometime but never participated. So much wonderful inspiration out there.

Drying out...

We have almost three weeks of constant rain...with yesterday being the worst and reminding me of this event...and today the sun shone bright. Oh, how we have missed it.

During the last rainy week I have been singing Christmas carols as I have been working on a few chrissy projects....weird for June but for a good reason :). And it actually felt good to create them without the pressure of Christmas looming....I didn't feel rushed and got to have a good think about it instead of throwing them together, writing them and shoving them in the post!!!

So hence no scrapping or cardmaking for myself has taken place this week. But I thought I might share a few older pages that I never posted on here.
