So proud...

of my hubby!!! He is what I term as a fitness fanatic...not that he over does it he just does a whole lot more than I hate gyms and the thought of running more than a kilometre kinda freaks me out :). Last month Dam and our neighbour decided to run the 12km Bay to Bay. This entailed running around a good portion of the Brisbane Waters on the Central Coast of NSW. He did so well and the kids were so excited to see him run to the finish line.

I knew I wanted to scrap the moment and that I would include his number...only problem was that it went missing. Then as I was hanging out the washing I found it in his Yes, I know I should have checked but I have a big rule in my house...don't put things in your pockets because I don't check them!!! I truly believe that pockets should be outlawed for this reason alone :D.

When the July kit 'Continental' at Studio Calico went on sale and knew I wanted to use it for this LO and the minute it arrived...well later that night :)...I got stuck into it.

oh, whats that? another LO with a stamp? I know, I know, I don't stamp but there are some I simply cannot pass up. I loved these month stamps the minute they were released and I finally plucked up the courage to hit 'BUY' So glad I did....lurve them!!!

Well, that sexy man is almost home and dinner is warming in the to serve up and eat!!

“Imagination... more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.” Albert Einstein

This has always been one of my favourite quotes and I love that Noah's imagination grows everyday. He was so proud of his Thomas 'hat' and we were laughing ourselves silly while we tried to get the train to stay on it for the photo. Don't you love the way he looks over the top of his a little old man. hehehe...too cute.

This is for the second challenge this month at Scrap the boys. The detail element this month is stamps. Normally I would have written this challenge off....stamping is so not my thing. But I thought about it for a while and realised that I have so many fantastic stamps that arrived with my Studio Calico kit each month. So I pulled them out and decided to use the 'frame' stamp that is around the edges of the three squares of patterned paper. I finished this LO so quickly and i love the way it came together.

Speaking of Studio Calico....July's kit arrived on my doorstep this morning and I am dying to dive in.

Here's to creating....I hope :).

Crazy for you...

The other night I was looking through the photos of our little getaway at the end of March. A few days with my sisters family and my mum at our favourite little beach near Port Macquarie. Lake Cathie is the best place to take kids. Abi isn't really keen on the big scary waves at the beach but you just have to turn around and walk a few metres to the little lake and she was in 'wimming' heaven :).

I was having a good laugh as I went through the photos and I remember my little nephew getting so frustrated by Abi. She followed him everywhere, copied everything he did, call his name constantly and even chased him down if he dared walk away from I pulled a few of these photos out to create this LO...with the title coming from the fact that she drove her three year old cousin to distraction. At one point he even let out a massive sigh and asked her to be quiet. We were driving back from a evening in Port Mac for ice cream when he did this and my mum and I were trying so hard not to burst out laughing!

They are very much alike so it is interesting to watch their relationship develop.

Hope you have all had a great week. We had a really busy one and will be looking forward to a quiet weekend....but we'll see :).

Have a good one...hugs.

Unfinished business...

I have a shelf in my paper storage unit that is dedicated to unfinished LO's. They are there for a variety for reasons but most because I just couldn't make them work and put them aside for a short period before I took to them with a pair of scissors. :D.

The other night I pulled a few out with the plan of completing them before starting any new ones. This one is so different to how it originally started out and I am so glad I finally have it done. This photo was taken in November last year on a special day for my family. Dad's ashes had been placed at the Crem. and we made a day of it. We went to see his final resting place, released balloons with messages for him and then went on a picnic to one of his favourite places in the Hunter Valley. My Mum snapped this photo of my DH, sister and BIL with the kids on their shoulders as we wandered back from the river to our picnic spot.

We all had a good laugh over this photo and when I said it looked like a camel train I got three very disgruntled

The next LO that I attempted was with this photo...

...but with a not so pleasing result. I should have probably left it for another time because it was an absolute disaster :)....and not for public

Better luck next time, I hope.

Thanks for all of your lovely comments...I love reading them.

Hugs xx

Just the facts...

about my baby boy. Oh how I love this little guy!!! Some days he can truly make my head rattle...but then all kids do, right? :) He has the kindest little heart and is everyone best friend. With school looming next year, it is this side of him that I worry about the most. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body and while he is outstanding at antagonising his sister :)....he is usually only looking for a laugh.

This is for the Scrap the boys challenge. So glad Susan got it up and running the challenges and inspiration from this site. And with a few of my scrapping idols on the DT...I am a happy gal.

So that is what Noah is up to right now...and here is Abi...

hehehe...horrible Mummy, aren't I? But this is her to a tee. Photos where taken at the end of summer and I am pretty certain the tantrum was about something she wanted out of the fridge. This is a daily occurrence so I have lost I have nicknamed her 'Miss Meltdown' and whenever I refer to her as such she purses her lips together and gives me a very stern "No Mummy!'...and by then the tantrum has been forgotten!! Noah never carried on like this and most days I am at a lost at what to do. Usually I step over her and go about my business and she gets over it...other times I grab the

Well, I am off to make some lunch and a cuppa, check the chicken curry in the slow cooker and since Abi is in bed and Noah had a makeup day at Pre-school I might actually partake in some daytime scrapping....if I remember how :).
